Live the Life You Imagined

A layout of my beautiful daughter-in-law and my ever so cute grandson.

I was in the mood just to play and let creativity soar where it may. I admit I just wanted to play with my stamps..

I am always torn between making cards and scrapbooking. I love to make my own Designed Background Paper. Makes it much easier to justify my extravagant stamp purchases.

This piece started out as a plain piece of Vanilla Card stock.. I found a very old " Border Buddies " template, traced and cut my own background die cut. Note the Tim Holtz Grunge Board from the series " Swirls and Elements ". I painted with Ranger Pigment Ink and then applied Ranger Distress Stickles.

I started out doing the background by applying the Heidi Swapp Mask " Carefree" and then misting the cardstock with Tattered Angels "Glimmer Mists".

I applied Tim Holtz Distress Inks using many different techniques..I also incorporated a Distress stamp Wheel for an added effect to the " Direct to Paper " technique.

Stamps I used, from Tim Holtz Collection line: Creative Muse, Soul Journal, and Natures Discovery.

The " Family" word stamp and " Moments of Joy " are from the stamp collection of Innovative Stamps " Scrapbook Words".

Thanks for stopping by

Connie, you never cease to amaze me with your stamped cardstock that started out in white. I love the design and the photos are to die for. Great job.

You sound like a seasoned photographer: I used FX240 with a 45 mm lens at a slightly slower stop of F6 on a sunny day with my hat as a shield over my lens. In detailing all your inks and templates you give everyone the information they need to complete a similar project. That's a great help. Thank you! Your family is darling. I have a second cousin, son of my favorite cousin, who's a mountie in Calgary. I hear you're close to that city. SoulJournal on, sister! Jeanne in Oregon
