Bloggers Challenge #87 Damask Pattern and the color Burgundy

Welcome to this week's Blogger's Challenge. Click here to see more wonderful creations by other bloggers.

I did not have time t0 create something special for this challenge. Grandma is too busy with my grandson who is visiting from Calgary.

I thought I would put this layout on as it reminded me of the diamond pattern of the damask shapes in the inspiration picture. The color burgundy was also predominent.

The background paper which is Very Vanilla, is completely stamped with the techniques of Emboss Resist, distressing, sponging and over-stamping. Inks used were: Stampin Up colors - Really Rust, Bravo Burgundy and More Mustard

Tim Holtz Inks used: Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint and black Soot.

I had a lot of fun painting Tim Holtz Grunge Board with paints and Ranger Perfect Pearls: Perfect Bronze and Forever Violet.

Cardstock for this layout is from Stampin Up. The stamps I used were Heidi Swapp for the diamond images; and, Fancy Pants for the flourishes.

Holy smokes this background is awesome. I clicked to look at it bigger and can't take my eyes off of it. Very creative. I'm glad Beth sent me over.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog Connie. No wonder you have trouble managing your time, with a kid around the house! But wow, if this is what you manage to make when you're short on time, I am awed. It's absolutely fab, and I love the background!
